The challenge

Problem statement

LiftOut’s existing timesheet application was built on an outdated .NET framework that had become difficult and expensive to maintain. The client faced ongoing challenges with their previous development provider, who charged excessive fees for even minor updates and feature enhancements. The platform lacked flexibility, scalability, and a modern user experience, making it increasingly difficult to adapt to evolving business requirements. LiftOut needed a cost-effective, future-proof solution that would improve performance, simplify maintenance, and provide a better experience for both administrators and end users.

Our proposed solution

We completely re-engineered the LiftOut platform using a modern technology stack. The mobile application was rebuilt in Flutter, allowing for a fast, responsive, and cross-platform user experience. A robust Node.js backend was developed to handle business logic, workforce data, and timesheet processing efficiently, while a React-based administrative dashboard provided a streamlined interface for management and reporting. We modernised the application’s architecture, improved system performance, enhanced security, and created a scalable foundation that allows new features and updates to be implemented quickly and cost-effectively. The result was a fully revamped platform designed to support LiftOut’s long-term operational goals.
